Dr. Rodrick L. Barden received his B.S. in Zoology from Fort Valley State College in 1993, and completed his D.M.D. degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1996. While in dental school he served as President of the Student Dental Association and was a member of the admission committee. He was presented with the 1996 Award of Excellence from the American Student Dental Association in recognition of outstanding leadership and dedicated service to school and community. Dr. Barden practiced general dentistry in Macon, GA for one year before completing two-year postgraduate program at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. He was a charter member of the endodontic program, earning a certificate in endodontics in 1999. Dr. Barden chose metro Atlanta as his place of choice to practice. After practicing a year as an associate, Dr. Barden established South Atlanta Endodontic Specialists in Atlanta, GA in 2000. Dr. Barden is a member of the American Association of Endodontics, American Dental Association, North Georgia Dental Society, South metro Dental Study Club, and the Hinman Dental Society. He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics in 2006.
